I am a Registered Psychologist. The law protects this title—only those who have been evaluated according to the terms of the College of Alberta Psychologists can use it. The college is authorized under the Health Professions Act to regulate and guide the psychology profession in Alberta and to protect the public interest. The College demands a high standard of education and knowledge. .

 As a Registered Psychologist,

• I am licensed to practice psychology, and I must uphold strict moral, ethical, and practical standards in my work.

• I have extensive formal training and supervision.

• My practice is governed by the College of Alberta Psychologists’ Standards of Practice.

• My practice is guided by the Canadian Psychological Association’s Code of Ethics for Psychologists.
