I believe in the benefits of giving voice to experience and the rich possibility this can bring.

I completed undergraduate work at the University of British Columbia and the University of Western Ontario. I received my Master’s degree in counselling psychology from City University of Seattle. I have experience and clinical training in working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples.

In my work I am curious and principled; I am encouraging and strategic. My approach is evidence-based and influenced by

  • attachment theory

  • narrative therapy

  • solution-focused brief therapy

  • cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)

  • family systems therapy

I have training in emotionally focused couples therapy and response-based therapy for trauma. I am qualified to offer accelerated resolution therapy (ART), which integrates eye-movements with mindfulness, breath work, visualization, and somatic grounding techniques. I am committed to life-long learning through ongoing training and research review.

I have worked with clients on a wide range of issues, including

  • depression

  • anxiety

  • emotional regulation

  • low self-worth

  • low self-confidence

  • perfectionism

  • grief and loss

  • trauma

  • gender identity

  • relationship difficulties

  • the effects of separation on the family system

  • career choices

  • workplace stress

  • phase-of-life changes

I bring a strong background in adult learning and narrative interviewing to my clinical practice. I have worked in the corporate sector for Silicon Valley and Calgary companies, helping organizations and individuals navigate rapid and at times unforeseen changes.
